How is Reiki Used?Life Force.
Reiki treatments are given with the person clothed, as Reiki will go through anything, including plaster casts and steel plates. The person being treated is not healed by the Reiki practitioner. The person's healing comes from the life force flowing through the Reiki practitioner's hands. The innate intelligence and wisdom of Reiki, and of the body of the person receiving it, combine to move the person from sickness towards health and wholeness. Energy. The person giving Reiki is not drained of his/her own energy, but is actually energized and replenished. Reiki protects the practioner from taking on another person's pain or disease. A Reiki treatment usually takes from 1 to 2 hours. During this time, the entire body is infused with healing energy, stimulating its natural healing process. For chronic conditions, whenever possible, the person is treated on four consecutive days, and treatments then continue as needed. For minor conditions, often simply treating the affected area for a short time will be sufficient to heal the problem. |
